A massive truck fitted with a large
screen is parked outside a warehouse. A man with a microphone, 2 American
family-moms and an enthusiastic crowd is on the scene. The moms are struggling
and fighting to beat each other in an onscreen joystick-controlled
shopping-game. The man keeps the crowd on its toes, commenting on the two
women’s progression and battle to win the game.
This is what it looked like, when the TJ
Max game was launched in the states. The game is basically a fight for two, to
see who can drive around their shopping car while picking-up as many good
offers as possible.
The concept was to create focus and
attention around cheap prices and big savings compared to other warehouses and
malls.
The game is developed in Action script 3. A pc was used to run the big-screen
and control the shopping cars from the input of two joysticks.
